The Hannstar J Mv 4 motherboard is a discontinued product. The Hannstar J Mv 4 motherboard is an old model, replaced in 2011 by the HTX-A PCBs. It was created for use with the Intel Core2 Duo processor series of microprocessors, but will work with any modern RAM and CPU except for some models of AMD processors. The Hannstar J Mv4 motherboard can support up to 16 GB in installed RAM at 1333 MHz using two modules in the slots nearest the CPU socket. Although it supports up to 16 GB of RAM, it cannot handle 16GB DIMMS - only 8GB DIMMS are usable. The J Mv4 supports DDR2 memory. It has dual channel DDR RAM support with a default of x16 and max of single channel DDR2-1333 with 32 bits per clock. M.I.T. Sound features include a 7.1 channel audio chipset with an on board audio amplifier, analog output and optical S/PDIF input. All speakers are controllable via a simple on screen menu, and also include a master volume control knob on the front face of the case for extreme volume settings. Unlike most motherboards, the J Mv 4 supports a voltage regulator on the board under the CPU socket. This allows for overclocking of CPU's past 4.4 GHz of CPU frequency. The back of the motherboard is flat, with an HDMI port and DVI port on it. A single USB 2.0 port is located on one of the back panel ports, and it also has an eSATA/USB combo port which can be used to connect hard drives, DVD optical drives or other USB devices to your system without using the internal ports over USB2.0. Some features of this product are not supported by all systems or CPUs (see Hardware Notes below). Hardware Notes: The J Mv 4 motherboard supports a maximum of 16 GB in installed RAM at 1333 MHz. The maximum usable amount of RAM is limited to 8GB due to the installed memory controller. The CPU frequency can be raised beyond 4.4 GHz, but overclockers should consider the installation of a system fan on the back side. The two slots nearest the CPU have bracketed riser cards supporting dual channel DDR2 memory, so if you are using them for more than one stick of RAM it is advisable to install them all with identical specifications so they are all working with the same speed. The J Mv 4 has Intel HD Audio sound support which is limited to 7.1 channels in the onboard audio subsystem, but this in full-featured when using external devices through the eSATA/USB ports or an aftermarket sound card. HDMI port requires a DVI-HDMI adapter for HDMI output. A standard PS2 keyboard and mouse are not supported by this motherboard because of its advanced chipset. Like other Socket LGA1156 motherboards, the J Mv4 uses a 6-pin CPU power connector which can be used with all Intel CPUs. hannstar j mv 4 motherboard schema cfa1e77820
